Throughout the years, our elders have made a difference in many lives.   It is now our turn and you can help us make a difference in their lives.

Asbury Park offers exceptional ways to MAKE A DIFFERENCE in the lives of our elders:

 COMMUNITY SERVICE TAX CREDITS

In May of 2013, Asbury Park is submitting an application to the Kansas Department of Commerce for participation in its Community Service Tax Credit Program. Funds obtained through this program will be used to help fund the construction two new Green House homes on Asbury Park’s campus, which is part of the construction project our organization is undergoing in 2013/2014. These two Green House homes will enhance and supplement our 24- hour skilled nursing program.

In order to strengthen our application, we must include evidence that our project is supported by individuals and business wanting to take advantage of the tax credits if we have them available. This evidence is provided by including pledge letters with our application, showing that people are committed to Asbury Park, supportive of our proposed project, and willing to invest in its success.

Community Service Tax Credits are awarded by the Kansas Department of Commerce to non-profit organizations engaged in major fund-raising projects as a way to enhance the project’s success. Specifically, they are refundable credits that can be used by individuals and companies to reduce their Kansas income tax liability in the year their donation is made. If Asbury Park is selected as a participant in the Community Service Tax Credit Program, donors contributing $250 or more to Asbury Park’s tax credit project would in turn receive a Kansas Income Tax credit equivalent to 50% of the amount of the donation, to be applied to the donor’s income tax liability for that year.  Learn More . . .  Tax Credit Pledge letter  Pledge Sheet.
