Tom Williams, President/CEO/Administrator, has been involved in leadership and management of long term care programs since 1981, working with retirement communities in Florida, Missouri, Oklahoma and Kansas. He qualified for licensure as a Nursing Home Administrator in 1981 and has obtained it in each state of employment.
The opportunity to develop Green House® homes in Kansas enticed him to return to his home state in January 2005 as the CEO of Asbury Park Retirement Community in Newton. He has his Master’s degree from Webster University in St. Louis, MO, and received his Bachelor of Science degree from Wichita State University in Wichita, KS.
He has recently served as State Treasurer for LeadingAge Kansas and has served on the Statewide Board, and has taught on-line and in class graduate students in Aging Studies through Wichita State University. Tom has served as a Planning Commissioner for the cities of Newton/North Newton since 2009, and served as the Newton Area Chamber of Commerce President in 2007-2008. Williams was appointed as a member of the Steering Committee in 2010 to help develop the city of Newton’s 25-year Strategic Plan.
Tom currently serves as a Board member for Newton Medical Center, and Mirror, Inc. He is a member of the Trinity Heights United Methodist Church in Newton, where he currently co-chairs the Missions Committee with his wife and serves on the Church Council.
